Arriving in Loches on the N143 from Tours there is a large Renault garage on your left as you approach a big, neatly maintained roundabout known as the ‘Renault Roundabout’.

Take the THIRD exit marked D764 and signposted Valencay, Genille, Blere & Amboise. Go over the railway crossing and approach the next roundabout passing the river and a weir on your right.

Take the FIRST exit off on right signposted D31 Beaulieu-les-Loches 1.5k.

Continue straight on into Beaulieu past a small square and also a boulangerie/patisserie shop on your left. The street is narrow in parts but carry on straight ahead.

Slow at this point as the road bears sharply to the right on a tricky corner with the small dark green painted arts & crafts shop on your left. You do NOT want to follow the road round to the right to Loches OR turn sharp left. Stop in the middle of road on the sharp corner and then go straight ahead, where sign on left wall shows St Germain 8/St Hippolyte 11, and pass the Hotel de Beaulieu and enter the 1,000 year-old Abbey square.

Turn left around the pretty tree-lined square and you then reach a junction and Stop sign. Check mirror above on wall and turn RIGHT on the D92 for St Hippolyte. Carefully carry straight on until you see a small chapel ahead, go round first a sharp left and then a sharp right bend. Continue straight ahead over several ‘traffic humps’ (donkey backs in France!) and past signs announcing and exiting the tiny suburb of Perrusson (La Madeleigne).

Go round the left bend into open countryside crossing a small river bridge and you should see the Moulin de Boutineau (white house/slate roof) on your left across a field. Take the first turn left marked the D592 and signed Sennevieres 7k and the Moulin (also signposted Moulin de Boutineau at the same turn) is the first property on the left with the beige postbox.
