COST OF YOUR HOLIDAY
This year at Moulin de Boutineau we are opening our cottages and the Moulin Lake for our legendary carp fishing holidays in France for 3 months of peak summer in 2025 from Saturday 14 June through to Saturday 13 September.
There is no absolute guarantee of exclusive use of the Moulin Lake for any of these main summer weeks unless you have a larger group and wish to book all 3 cottages on site.
Booking the main Fisherman’s Cottage for up to 6 people (2 doubles & 1 twin bedroom) is the minimum basic requirement for carp fishing on the lake.
If your group is a larger one (up to 12 max with max 4 fishing) and needs more space you will also need to book either the nearby Gardener’s Cottage (4 people/1 double 1 twin bedroom) and/or the Bread Oven (2 people/1 double).
Two cottages may be enough, but only by booking ALL THREE cottages can you ABSOLUTELY guarantee EXCLUSIVE use of the Moulin Lake for your group.
You can bivvy by the lake if you choose, but MUST also ALWAYS have a rented cottage bed space. This is to prevent people in any group exceeding our maximum numbers for insurance purposes.
The standard Moulin Lake carp fishing fee for 2025 applies to all our summer rental weeks and includes full carp fishing rights and private licence on the lake at 150 euros per adult angler per week, payable on arrival. Young carpers (12-16 years 75 euros). No charge for supervised U-12’s or non-fishing guests.
All cottage rental prices for 2025 are per property per week, based on a Saturday (4pm) to Saturday (10am) basis.
All cottage rental rates inclusive of bills (water, electricity, heating etc) and local taxes, EXCEPT the tourist ‘Taxe de Sejour’ and a standard laundry & cleaning charge (see Important Notes below).
The Fisherman’s Cottage (Le Chaumiere des Pecheurs) (Max: 6 people):
High Summer: 14 June – 13 Sept = 1860 euros
The Gardener’s Cottage (Le Cottage du Jardinier) (Max: 4 + 1 child):
High Summer: 14 June – 13 Sept = 1570 euros
The Bread Oven (Le Four à Pain) (Max: 2 people):
High Summer: 14 June – 13 Sept = 975 euros
Important Notes:
The total price payable is in Euros. Sterling Exchange rates might vary for UK customers during the year, but the stated Euro prices payable for the holiday do not.
A ‘Taxe de Sejour’ of 80 centimes per night for all tourists visiting the Loire Valley World Heritage Site is payable in cash before the end of your stay. Each adult (children U-18 exempt) must pay 5.60 euros per full week, which by law we collect for the South Touraine Tourist Authority.
Laundry & Cleaning at end of stay is a standard charge of 75 euros for the Fisherman and Gardener's Cottages, and 50 euros for the Bread Oven Cottage and is payable before departure.
All fresh towels and bed linen are provided but please bring your own pool towels.
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the cost of the holiday must be paid within 10 days of sending your online Booking Form reservation, with the balance and a refundable damage security deposit paid no later than 6 weeks before your arrival date.
Damage Security Deposit (refundable) £100 (or 100 euros) per cottage.
